Thank God there wasn't a tsunami because I didn't even hear about the earthquake until it would have been way too late. But with a -3 tide, I have to admit, I probably wouldn't have worried too much anyway...
I didn't even hear about it until this morning when my mother in law emailed that they are fine. They are on a cruise right near there. I felt kind of stupid when she wrote that and I had no idea what she was talking about until I looked it up.
Yeah, well, I was playing on the beach despite the big red warning signs. If there had been even a modest sneaker, me and the, oh, six dozen other people on the beach would have felt pretty foolish. But it just kind of SEEMED safe, you know?
