It's that time of year again!! Time for the best show EVER!! And I already have a favorite this year - Robert Muraine. He'll never make it very far, but he is by far the most entertaining dancer so far this season. How can you not love this show?!

Seriously. Call your Senator. The bill hits the Senate floor JUNE 2!!!
I'm usually not political on this blog, but this bill is just too important...

Random DC
Last weekend I met up with my friend Vinu. I think we were going to see a movie. Anyway, she was driving and I started snapping pictures out the window since I'm not going to be around much longer and I don't really have any pictures of DC. Granted, taking pictures from a moving car is probably not the best way to document a city, but it was fun nonetheless.
I've never lived anywhere like DC before. I don't think there are many cities I would have lasted in this long. If I could afford to live in downtown DC, northwest is definitely where I would have wanted to be.

It's all in the details...
The ferry ticket has been purchased, the route pretty well fleshed out, the notice has been given, and all that is left to do is pack up and find someone to take over the last two months of my lease. Keep your fingers crossed. The moving whirlwind hasn’t hit yet, but I can feel it coming. Considering how big this move is and how many little things I still have to do, so far it’s been surprisingly easy. Did I just jinx it? Crap, I hope not.
Pretty much the most time consuming thing I need to accomplish over the next few weeks is to come up with the perfect road-tripping playlist. My stupid computer is acting up, so that’s making life more difficult and I’ve only got about a dozen songs so far. I’m taking suggestions.

Answering the Call of the Wild...Again

After 2 years, 3 months, and 4 days (or 824 days or 1,186,560 minutes depending on how you want to think about it) I have decided to say adios to DC. That’s right - I am getting the hell out of dodge and heading back to the Last Frontier! I finally found a new job and I am hitting the road on June 1. And I am taking a full month to drive up there so I will have plenty of time to stop and smell the roses.
I can’t believe I’ve been in DC almost as long as I lived in Juneau. How did that happen?!
